Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk Announces Official Bid

The 2032 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the XXXV Olympiad and also known as Brisbane 2032, is an upcoming international multi-sport event scheduled to take place from 23 July to 8 August 2032 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It will be the third time that Australia has hosted the Summer Olympics, after Melbourne 1956 and Sydney 2000.

The Rings and Agitos, which are the official symbols of the Olympic Games, were unveiled in Brisbane and South East Queensland over the weekend of 22 and 23 July, marking 9 years to go until the Games. Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk announced on 9 December 2019 that the state would make an official bid for the 2032 Olympics.

Brisbane and the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) were invited to a targeted dialogue for the Olympic Games 2032. After a successful bid, Brisbane was approved by the International Olympic Committee to host the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
