Novak Djokovic's Epic Comeback at Roland Garros
Defeating Lorenzo Musetti in a Five-Set Thriller
Novak Djokovic has produced an epic comeback to inflict more Roland Garros heartache on young Italian Lorenzo Musetti and keep alive his bid for a 25th Grand Slam title.
The 34-year-old Serb overcame a two-set deficit to defeat the 19-year-old Musetti 6-7 (8), 6-7 (2), 6-1, 6-0, 4-0 in a match that ended at 03:07 local time in Paris, the latest finish in French Open history.
It is the first time Djokovic has come from two sets down to win a match at Roland Garros since 2013, when he defeated Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the last 16.
The victory sets up a quarter-final clash with 13-time champion Rafael Nadal, who defeated Felix Auger-Aliassime in straight sets earlier on Sunday.
Djokovic is now 20-1 in five-set matches at Roland Garros, and has won 17 of his last 18 matches against Italian opponents.
